
WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

Bring live music performances to patients
Take part in our Regular Strum-and-Sing Program (RSP) to sing and play music for patients at nursing homes, hospitals, and active aging centers on a regular basis.

Teach guitar to underprivileged children
Join our Guitar Buddy Program (GBP) to befriend children from disadvantaged backgrounds and build their confidence by teaching them how to play the guitar.

Share the joy of music with the homebound
Join our Music for the HomeBound Program (MHP) to befriend and play music with people who are less fortunate and are unable to leave their homes.

Teach music to fellow volunteers
Train other volunteers in guitar or any other instruments so they can pay if forward with music.

Help out in the committee
Publicise VGC, engage with new and existing volunteers, or coordinate events and volunteering programs.
CAN'T PLAY THE GUITAR? NO PROBLEM!
Even with zero background in music, we will teach you how to play the guitar from scratch! We will empower you with the skills to confidently volunteer with music.
Our beginners' class

Who are the trainers?
You will be trained by a team of volunteers who are passionate in imparting guitar and music skills to those who has the interest and commitment to give back through music.
Am I eligible?
You must be a regular volunteer at a social service agency or charity in Singapore that benefits human beneficiaries. If you're not, you're welcome to volunteer in our programs first.
