Background
Guitar Buddy Program (GBP) is VGC’s very own guitar coaching program, tailor-made to suit the learning needs of our less privileged community such as children from disadvantaged backgrounds or the elderly at nursing homes.
Roles & responsibilities
The Deputy GBP IC will work together with the GBP IC in overseeing the program. Responsibilities include:

Ensure donated guitars are in good condition and labeled before they are handed over to our beneficiaries.

Keep track of the whereabouts of all donated guitars.

Organize and attend meetings with potential partners to discuss and plan the program.
​

Recruit volunteers as guitar buddies for all upcoming lessons. Work with the VGC Publicity team to publicize the program on social media platforms.

Take photos of the lesson location to brief guitar buddies, if required.

Ensure all relevant lesson materials are shared among all recruited guitar buddies
​

Assist to organize graduation events upon completion of the program. This includes procuring GBP tokens, ordering food & beverages, and preparing graduation certificates for the beneficiaries.

Seek approval from partners before sharing any photos/videos of the lessons with the VGC Publicity team.

Assist in other administrative work such as taking attendance of guitar buddies
